Shape of the pellets

An important criterion for underwater pelletizing is the shape, the quality and the uniformity of the pellets.

The characteristic features of the results of BKG underwater pelletizing are:

• ball shape
• uniformity
• smooth surfaces

The essential factors influencing these features are the viscosity and the crystalline melting point of the product. The use of special die plates and/or the combination with melt pumps guarantee the steady quality of the product that meets any requirements.

BKG underwater pelletizing systems cannot only be used for thermoplastic polymers but are also suitable for all materials which behave like thermoplastic polymers:
