In this system the materials to be processed are - if requested - pre-densified in the densfier acc. to geometry and material’s specifications and then fed by force into the extruder screw below placed. If necessary, the material is loosened up in the conical bin by means of special agitators and scrappers. In this way it is ensured that the material does not stick.
By the pre-densifying of the material and the feeding into the extruder screw with a constant pressure the feeding of the extruder with the largest possible quantity of material and an optimization of its commercial sufficiency is ensured.
Optionally, the densifiers may be equipped with a lifting device. This device ensures the quick and easy lifting and slewing of the auxiliary units from the extruder for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
The throughput capacities of the densifiers are in the range of 100 - 2000 kg/h. Each capacity depends on the extruder, its inlet opening and inlet zone as well as on the specific material properties.
