Backflush Filtration Systems

Screen Changer with fully automatic backflush function (self-cleaning)

In order to considerably increase the lifetime of the filter media KREYENBORG offers automatic backflush screen changers.

These systems work as follows: When a pre-defined pollution degree is reached, the backflushing automatically starts.

Then the contaminations from the screen pack are led out of the machine via a spillway. The contaminated backflush mass leaves the machine by means of heated backflush outlet pipes which are installed at the screen changer housing. There the small quantity may be removed or collected.

With the 4-channel screen changers additional slide valves are used at the backflush channels. There is no interference of the process during backflushing.

Machine types

All screen changers, offered by KREYENBORG are available with a backflush function. The other functionality of these machines is exactly the same.

Screen retainer

In order to prevent a slipping of the screen pack owing to the flow reversal during the backflushing, the screen pack is additionally fixed with a special screen retainer in the screen cavity.

ACS control

The function of the backflush is controlled by the ACS control system, which is easy to operate. An automatic and absolutely repeatable screen changing is ensured
