Hydraulically actuated Slide Plate Screen Changer for continuous operation

The quasi continuous screen changers of the type FS-Y are suited for processes in which neither a pressure constancy nor a complete venting with the screen change have to be realized.

In a rheologically optimized channel the material flow is guided through the housing and the therein existing slide plate with the two screen cavities. Between these screen cavities it may be changed over so fast, that the process must not be interrupted for the screen change.

Function

• continuously working melt filters, the screen change is effected during the current process
• for the screen change the slide plate is moved hydraulically. Therby the active screen cavity is driven out of the machine and the filter media are changed
• the other screen cavity takes over the filtration task until the next screen change
