Large-Surface Filtration System Type POLY

Continuously working large-surface filtration systems for polymerisation

The filtration systems of the POLY series are designed for the use in large polymerisation systems, in which usually pot filters are applied.
The advantage of these systems is especially the significantly easier cleaning of the filters during continuous operation.

Construction and function

The filtering system consists of 2 parallel-linked dual-piston screen changers. Every screen bearing piston features a screen cavity that is equipped with two screen points facing each other.

The melt is evenly distributed by the distribution adaptor and fed to all 8 screen points.

For a screen change, the respective screen bearing piston is extended out of the process. The production is continued by the six screen points remaining in the melt stream so that

75 % of the filter area is always in operation during the screen change.
