KREYENBORG Infrared Drying Technology – New impulses at the NPE 2009 |
|
Even two premieres of different kind can be announced by KREYENBORG Plant Technology of Senden on occasion of the NPE 2009 in Chicago.
A world premiere will be presented at the NPE 2009 at the booth of the KREYENBORG Group (hall North, 62042) – a discontinuously working infrared drum. Unlike the continuous infrared drum (IRD) with the batch drum no conveyance will be effected by means of welded in blades. The drum has only pyramidal and horizontal mixing elements and is charged in batch quantities. With a relatively high speed the material is thermally treated with a defined energy input – thus dried, crystallized or for example also coated, depending on application. After the treatment a change of the rotational direction causes a discharge of the material through the baffle elements.
In April 2009 the US American manufacturer of drying and auxiliary equipment CONAIR (The Conair Group, Cranberry Township, PA, USA) and KREYENBORG Plant Technology, Senden agreed upon a sales cooperation. In future Conair will directly offer KREYENBORG Infrared drums and will include these systems in its product range. Thus both partners want to increase their presence mainly in the North American market and to build a powerful alliance especially in the field of PET drying. Both the CONAIR distribution and the world-wide agencies of the KREYENBORG Group will be used in parallel, whereby globally a better customer proximity is guaranteed. From the point of view of KREYENBORG Plant Technology this cooperation opens up new possibilities. Thus mainly complete solutions including the necessary auxiliary equipment concerning the IRD may be offered. Furthermore CONAIR is an experienced partner with high market acceptance in the marketing of drying technology – especially in the processing of PET. This is mainly valid for North America. Particularly in terms of know-how and service the customer is offered an optimal package, which is individually adapted to his technical requirements. The first project of KREYENBORG and Conair could already be placed in the North American market. A machine for the processing of PET will be delivered to Mexico. There will be a common performance at the NPE in Chicago from 22.06.09 until 26-06.09, where an IRD B 120/180-60 will be shown at the booth of Conair. Afterwards this machine will be available for customer tests in the Conair technical center in Pittsburgh. |
